Why are we all missing the point of - how do you feel? Because we're so afraid to *gasp* hurt someone's feelings, and we're a culture where we're all paralyzed by trigger warnings
Being fit isn't about looking great in a bikini. It's about feeling good mentally, physically, and emotionally.
You know what I mean?
We are young. Our diet was the picture of perfection: raw dairy, grass-fed beef, organic produce, fermented everything, the whole deal.
Yet we were still tired all the time, sleeping like shit, not having a lot of sex, lacking creativity and motivation, feeling sluggish after working out + not losing weight, and popping allergy pills like they were candy.
Reading Medical Medium was a breath of fresh air and was exactly what we needed!
In today's episode, we discuss:
- Is monogamy encoded in our DNA?
- The concept of “I'm never gonna love again.”
- Why, when passion fades, do we think the relationship is over or doomed?
- Is despair a byproduct of monogamy?
- Getting older and thinking, “Shit, I don't wanna die alone.”
Earlier this week I guest starred on the Maternally Yours radio show + podcast. It was my very first live interview and I didn't drop one f-bomb! We talked about placentas, postpartum moms, and my sudden turn in career/life path. The interview starts at minute 8 and goes for about 20 minutes.
Katie is always asking me random questions about how things work, and I'm always explaining them. To which she then responds, "How the hell do you know all this random stuff?"
I don't know.
I read a lot, I went to school, I have a degree, I just pick stuff up here and there. Basically in the end, I know a little bit about a lot of things.
A few days ago she asked me, "Uh, what is the Internet?" And suddenly a new podcast was born.
A lively discussion about:
- how sex culture is so vastly different between our two countries (United States vs United Kingdom)
- the stigma surrounding any sort of fetish
- the beauty of polyamory and releasing jealousy
Today we started a lively podcast conversation about fantasies, flirtations we've been having recently with others, the difference between how men and women fantasize, and what being in a polyamorous relationship adds to this dynamic.
In this episode we go over our strategies for getting to Europe, and getting around once we're there. We also discuss long-term planning, short-term planning, what to pack, how to best utilize the different modes of European transportation, how to save money on food and lodging, plus lots of other great travel information.
In this podcast we explore the question I'm sure will resonate with every couple who's currently in or has been in a long term relationship: Why aren't we having sex anymore (or less frequently, or like we used to)?
